About Get Resource
The bill is wrong and the helpline has run out of answers. Most people give up there, because the amount is small and the argument is tiring. That is the whole job. We write for the ones who do not give up, and we try to make the second attempt shorter and better aimed than the first one was.
- Get Resource has been running since 2009 and is still publishing today. More than 500 articles are here to search.
- A complaint only works if it is written down and aimed at the right desk. So we check the rule, the tariff page or the licence condition before we write, and we quote it where you can see it. Advertising pays for the site. Paid links are labelled, and no advertiser has ever been given a say in what a piece concludes.
- The questions are the ones a subscriber actually has. Why has my plan changed without a message. Who do I write to when the shop and the operator each blame the other. What proof do I need before anyone will listen.
- We take the subscriber’s side and say so. That is a position rather than a neutral summary, and it is why the pieces here read like an argument.
- Follow along and you learn the shape of these fights before you are in one, when a dated record is worth more than an hour of shouting. You waste less time. You win a few of them.
Every piece starts with a document. The tariff sheet, the licence condition, the terms you agreed to without reading, whichever one the operator would rather you did not quote back at them. Then we write the complaint we would send ourselves.
A rant gets ignored, and the same complaint with a rule number attached tends to get an answer.
Send it to whoever needs it next.
Follow along and the next unfair charge meets someone who already knows where to push. Read on. If a piece here helps a neighbour or a parent get a wrong charge reversed without three weeks of phone calls, that is the whole point of writing it down.
Get Resource is one of fifteen titles published by G R Sites, an independent publisher writing since 2008, under one editorial policy and one disclosure standard. The other fourteen take the same suspicious eye elsewhere. To repairs. To the shopping app. To the offer that reads better than it works.
